These cufflinks are a small and discreet in size, nicely balancing the popping colour and unique motif of the turnip design. Perfect for lovers of the outdoors or those with green-fingered or culinary leanings, these mini vegetable pins represent different seasons – the pea grown in spring, artichoke in summer and turnip in autumn and winter.
The turnip is also a symbol of love and strength across cultures from Scotland to China being pink, shaped like a heart and a great source of nourishment across the world. These cufflinks make the perfect gift for a loved one or in the name of a romantic celebration.
These cufflinks are made from sterling silver and vitreous enamel. Coloured glass crystals are crushed by hand in a pestle before being mixed with water and then fastidiously painted into the design. The cufflinks are fired at around 900 degrees causing the pink and purple glass crystals to melt into the translucent white ones giving an authentic look of the plant’s true colouring.
