Wheatsheaf Pin
£85

A lucky symbol for cultures throughout the world, the wheatsheaf also represents prosperity, fertility and hope.

Sterling silver pin with 18 carat gold vermeil and ochre vitreous enamel.

11mm diameter.

This sterling silver and enamel pin has been created throughout 8 different workshops in the UK – each with their own specialist skill from mounting to polishing to enamelling – the latter being an ancient British craft that we sadly see less and less.

All of our enamel products are created with vitreous enamel meaning that they are made of glass and not plastic resins. The process of vitreous enamelling is an ancient skill that takes years of discipline to perfect and was historically employed by masters like Lalique and Fabergé.

Vitreous enamelling is a fading art that is only practised by a few artisanal makers in the world. We are very proud to uphold the traditions of the craftspeople who help us to make these beautiful products.
